The success of the Samsung Omnia i900 has been significant enough to say that this is one of the few iPhone competitors to be able to be competitive with a good mix of similarity with the original and unique style.
The streets of the evolution of this product lead to two similar but different solutions: the first is the Samsung i8000 Omnia a true version II, details of which have just been unveiled in a non-official and that should debut this fall.

The line of development is dictated by a significant increase in performance in all areas of hardware starting with the AMOLED screen that becomes a very large 3.7-inch 480x800 pixels and 16 million colors inspired by a Qualcomm MSM6290 processor and 150 Mb RAM on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.
Connectivity is more than complete and supports UMTS / HSPA also HSDPA 7.2 Mb, Wi-Fi 802.11b with the now inevitable Bluetooh EDR.
From the point sdi view media we will have a camera from well 8.1 Megapixels coupled to a secondary front; good the number of video codecs supported MPEG4/H.263/H.264/WMV/Real/XviD and in particular the DivX.
Complete the excellent framework integrated GPS, the radio receiver, a microSD expansion slot, 1500 mAh battery and small.
The competition seems to do well at the sector that is rushing to fast in hardware and in the 90s ago were the preserve of PC, home office, thanks to ever-smaller components.
Eye rather to the increasing number cheap clones, which have only the size of the iPhone and sometimes even the touch screen, in many cases the equipment connectivity and hardware are little more than a standard mobile phone.
