We have already highlighted as one of the most promenttenti of organic LED displays are flexible open broad scenarios for the conveying of images and information everywhere.
From the University of Tokyo comes the news that researchers have developed a prototype flexible OLED screen with a resolution of 256 pixels in monochrome version, the most interesting properties is that it can be folded up to a thousand times!
All while maintaining excellent image quality in the manufacture of a compound based on a fluorine rubber layer of carbon nanotubes, a typical OLED organic.
Further research will lead to the development of color screens, increased resolution and infinite capacity to bend and roll as needed. Made these improvements, the main applications will include electronic newspapers folding receiving information in real time on screens to wear clothes or body with information on health status of the bearer or the surrounding environment and much more.
